Police Blotter: DUI, Theft and Traffic Charges

March 29

Sarah S. Kim, 37 of the 2100 block of S. Tonne Road in Arlington Heights was arrested at eastbound Northwest Highway at Route 53 at 1:45 a.m. on charges of DUI, speeding and disobeying a traffic device, police reported.

March 28

Maria Del Carmen Gonzalez, 44, of the 2300 block of Wesr Nichols Road was arrested in the 1500 block of North Rand Road on a charge of retail theft, police reported. A Loss Prevention employee observed Gonzalez place $130.22 worth of various merchandise in a baby stroller, and pass the last point of sale without paying for the items.

Between 10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m., someone entered an unlocked 2014 Chevrolet van while it was parked in the parking lot of Home Depot (825 E. Dundee Rd). A circular saw, a Passlow Cordless Nailer Gun in an orange case, and a Makita 1 ¼ Horsepower Router (all unknown values) were taken from the vehicle.

Eric L. Brightwell, 27, of the 600 block of Schooner Point in Schaumburg was arrested on 03-28-15 at 0118 hours at s/b Bothwell St. at Palatine Rd. Charges included DUI and Improper Lane Usage.

Brandie M. McClintock, 31, of the 1200 block of Old Farm Road was arrested in the 1200 block of Algonquin Road at 12:51 a.m. on charges of DUI and improper lane use, police reported.

March 26

Between 9 p.m., March 25 and 8:45 a.m., March 26, someone entered an unlocked 2009 Nissan Maxima while it was parked in the 1000 block of N. Glenview Ct., police reported. An AT&T Elevate Hotspot device (valued at $200), a Macbook Pro Laptop Computer (valued at $2,300), and a pair of brown prescription Prada sunglasses (valued at $100) were taken.

Between just after midnight and 5 a.m., someone entered a home in the 1100 block of E. Foxglove Lane through an unlocked rear sliding door to the residence, police reported. Two X-Box gaming systems (unknown value), a Nintendo Wii gaming system (unknown value), a North Face Fleece Jacket (unknown value), and a house key were taken.

Thomas L. Dombrowski, 24, of the 1500 block of Norway Avenue was arrested at westbound Dundee Road at Frontage Drive at 12:30 a.m. on charges of DUI, failure to signal, and expired registration, police reported.
