Ricardo Mercado-Rojas, 48 of the 1900 north block of Green Lane was arrested in the 1500 block of N. Rand Road on a charge of retail theft, police reported. A Loss Prevention employee observed Mercado-Rojas place a case of bud light cans, a bottle of Clamato Juice, 2 boxes of shrimp, 7 avocados, 8 limes, a package of tortillas, and a carton of eggs into a plastic bag and pass the last point of sale without paying for the items. The items are valued at $65.01.

A Skil circular saw, tool belt and staple gun were taken from a 200 Chevrolet van while it was parked in the 700 block of E. Whispering Oaks Drive between 8:40 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. April 22, police reported. The value of the items is unknown.
