Drop your kids off at Rose Park on Aug. 14 for organized games, crafts, movies and a snack, then head off for some quality time to yourself.

PALATINE, IL — It's time for parents to enjoy a night to themselves thanks to Salt Creek Rural Park District's Parents Night Out event happening Aug. 14, according to the Village of Palatine newsletter. Parents/guardians are encouraged to bring their children, ages 5 to 12, to Rose Park on Aug. 14 for a night of organized games, crafts, movies and a snack, and to then go have some quality time for yourself. The kid-friendly fun runs from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and costs $17 for the first child, and $12 for addition children, according to the newsletter.

Pre-registration is required, according to the park district, who also asks that you please bring a pillow and blanket for your children for comfortable movie watching.
