Suburban Dancers Victorious in Competition in Canada
Twenty dancers from Sheila Tully Academy of Irish Dance in Glenview, including dancers from Palatine, competed in Vancouver.

PALATINE, IL — Several suburban dancers recently headed to Canada to compete in the 2019 North American Championship and came home victorious. Sheila Healy, who owns Sheila Tully Academy of Irish Dance in Glenview, said the school sent 20 dancers to Vancouver to show of their skills in two different competitions.
The dancers were crowned the champions in both competitions with perfect scores to boot.
"One competition featured sixteen Tully dancers performing a traditional dance requiring strict synchronization," Healy told Patch in an e-mail. "The second competition included all 20 dancers in a drama sharing an Irish tale through the language of dance."
