Susan Elizabeth Funck, 62, Schaumburg

Visitation for Susan Elizabeth Funck (nee Lieser), 62, of Schaumburg, will be held Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

Susan, born March 21, 1951, in Chicago, passed away Nov. 27 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village.

Susan’s hobby was genealogy, and she had researched more than 9,000 family members. She was an avid collector of frog figurines, and enjoyed family nights playing Uno.

Susan was the beloved wife of John F. Funck; loving mother of Kristine Funck, Michael S. (Amanda) Funck and the late John F. Funck, Jr.; loving grandmother of Kayla, Amy, Eliana, Ceana and Jonathon “JJ” Funck; dear daughter of the late Charles L. and Edith E. (nee Cooper) Lieser; and fond sister of Laurel (Kevin) Kloker and Allan Lieser.
