Thanksgiving 2020 Palatine Grocery Store Hours

PALATINE, IL — While Thanksgiving Day feasts are likely to be a little smaller this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, that doesn’t mean we’re less likely to forget the cranberry sauce, the gravy or the whipped topping for the pumpkin pie.

It’s a terrible feeling — but, luckily, there’s a list of grocery stores that will be open in and around Palatine for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips.

In contrast to previous years, retail giants Target and Walmart will not be open on Thanksgiving.

Both chains made the decision in response to the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement released on its website, Target said the company’s goal is to "make the holiday shopping experience simple, safe, and stress-free.”

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, along with a list of those that won’t:

Butera Market: All locations open until 4 p.m. or later on Thanksgiving.

Jewel-Osco: All stores open but hours vary by location. Pharmacy hours may also vary by location.

• Nantucket Square Shopping Center, 1151 S Roselle Road, Schaumburg
• Northpoint Shopping Mall, 440 Rand Road, Arlington Heights
• Randhurst Village, 333 E. Euclid Ave., Mount Prospect
• 1860 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights
• 122 N. Vail Ave., Arlington Heights 45 S. Plum Grove Road, Palatine
• 423 E. Dundee Road, Palatine
• 3000 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows
• 1485 Palatine Road, Hoffman Estates
• Hoffman Plaza, 1069 N. Roselle Road, Hoffman Estates
• Elk Crossing Shopping Center, 20 W. Biesterfield St., Elk Grove Village
• Scharrington Square, 2501 Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg

Mariano's: Stores open at usual time, close at 5 p.m.; pharmacies closed.

• Palatine Mall Shopping Center, 545 N Hicks Road, Palatine

Meijer: Open 24 hours (regular hours).

• 1301 Meijer Drive, Rolling Meadows

Whole Foods: Hours vary by store. Most suburban locations are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., while some open at 7 a.m., and others remain open until 4 p.m.

• Streets of Woodfield, 750 N Martingale Road, Schaumburg

If you're looking for some beverages to go with your Thanksgiving feast, Binny's Beverage Depot locations are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
