Vaccines May Be Required for Day Care Workers

Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno's plan was approved by a Senate Committee and is moving to the full Senate for a vote.

Following the measles outbreak in Palatine in February, Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno’s drafted a plan to require most daycare workers to prove immunity to measles, the Daily Herald is reporting.

At its end, the outbreak saw 13 of the cases linked to the Palatine KinderCare.

Radogno’s plan would require that workers either get vaccinated or proved immunity to measles.

The plan was appoved by a Senate committee Wednesday. It will now move to the full Senate for a vote.
