Veterans Day 2018: What's Open, Closed In Palatine
Find out how the holiday will affect village agencies, institutions and services Monday.
PALATINE, IL — This year, Veterans Day was officially Sunday, Nov. 11, and while events honoring U.S. military men and women were held this weekend, many institutions around Palatine will observe the holiday Monday.
Here's a look at how some places and services in the village will be handling Veterans Day:
Schools: No classes for District 15, District 25, District 59 and District 211 schools. District 214 schools will have classes.

Palatine Village Government: Village offices will be open. County, state and federal government offices will be closed, too.
Palatine Public Library: The library will be open.

Postal Service: No mail delivery, and all post offices will be closed.
Banks: Most financial institutions will be closed. Call ahead to be sure.
Retailers, Restaurants, Bars and Other Businesses: Most will be open, but check hours ahead of time.
