William "Bill" J. Wachula, 67, Palatine

Bill Wachula, who passed away Nov. 26, was an Army veteran. Prior to his retirement, he worked at Electrical Insurance Trustee's Local 134 of Chicago. Visitation is Sunday.

William "Bill" J. Wachula, 67, a resident of Palatine since 1979, peacefully passed away at home on Nov. 26.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec 1. from 3 to 9 p.m., at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Services will begin on Monday, Dec. 2, with prayers at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home proceeding to Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church, 745 S. Benton St., Palatine, for the funeral Mass at 9 a.m. Interment will be private. 

Wachula was born June 25, 1946, in Germany to the late Oleska and Paraska Wachula. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Irene (Andryc) Wachula, his loving children Christina Sheedy and Daniel (Joanna) Wachula; cherished grandchildren Cole, Abby, Sydney and Justin; also survived by his sister in law Sonia Wachula and several nieces and nephews. Wachula was preceded in death by a brother, Roman, and a sister, Kataryna.

Prior to retirement, Wachula worked for the Electrical Insurance Trustee’s, Local 134 of Chicago. He was also a Vietnam-era Army veteran.
