East McClure Shooting Victim Dead: Peoria Police
Peoria Police Department officials are asking for anyone with information on Wednesday's shooting to contact police.

PEORIA, IL — Peoria Police Department officials say a man injured during a Wednesday shooting in the 500 block of East McClure has died. Police say the victim died from his injuries at a hospital at 3:10 p.m. on Thursday.
Peoria Police said they responded to a report of gunfire in the 500 block of East McClure Wednesday at 6:18 p.m., before responding two minutes later to an accident in the 2400 block of North New York.
That's where police located a car that crashed into an empty car parked in a driveway, and found a man with a gunshot wound inside the car that crashed. Police say he was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

According to police, information from the scene reported two males were seen running from the area of the 2400 block of North New York after the crash, but it's not known if they were involved.
Police say the incident is under investigation and anyone with information on the shooting or identity of the males running from the scene are being asked to contact the Peoria Police Department at 309-673-4521 or CrimeStoppers anonymously at 309-673-9000.
