Man's Body Found Slumped Over In Peoria Business Lot: Coroner

PEORIA, IL — The body of a man was found Saturday night in the parking lot of Lover's Playground in Peoria, WMBD reported Peoria County Coroner Jamie Hardwood said. According to the news report, Harwood said a call came in around 7:40 p.m. about a man in his mid-40's who was found slumped over in the parking lot, where EMS responded to try and resuscitate him, but were unsuccessful.

Harwood said 47-year-old Kevin M. West, whose last known address is shown as the Salvation Army Safety Net Homeless Shelter, was found with a small wound on his head, which Harwood believes is the result of a fall.

According to EMS, it appeared West was sitting on the curb and fell forward onto the left side of his head, which caused the wound.

WMBD said according to officials, West had been passing through the parking lot and no other signs were found, as the autopsy was inconclusive.
