More Tax Filers Are Going Mobile This Tax Season
Mobile device users are catching onto efficient and accessible ways to handle their financial matters, including their taxes.
As the coronavirus pandemic worsened in the United States earlier this year, the Treasury Department moved the deadline for individual income tax returns to July 15.
From stacks of paperwork to complicated forms, tax preparation offers little to get excited about. Fortunately, modern tax filers can take advantage of smartphones and today’s top-rated apps to make the process faster, easier and more secure. In fact, according to the IRS, nearly 90% of federal tax returns were e-filed in 2019.
All around the country, mobile device users are catching onto efficient and accessible ways to handle their financial matters, including their taxes. According to a recent U.S. Cellular survey¹, 45% of smartphone users regularly maintained their banking and finances through a mobile app in 2019. Mobile banking provides an organized way for users to access their financial information all in one place.
