Tractor Crushes, Kills Man In Peoria After Falling Off Trailer
A local man died from his severe injuries after being crushed by a John Deere G tractor that fell off trailer.
PEORIA COUNTY, IL — A local man was killed after being crushed by tractor in Peoria County. Central Illinois Proud reports 77-year-old James E. Groeper was trapped underneath a John Deere G after the tractor tipped backwards and upside down off of a flatbed trailer. According to the news report, Peoria County Coroner James Harwood says Groeper likely died instantly.
No autopsy is scheduled as officials say Groeper suffered severe traumatic crush injuries, causing his death.
