U.S. Cellular Donates Personal Care Kits to Boys & Girls Clubs

U.S. Cellular has donated 150 “Personal Care Kits” to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Peoria for distribution to local Club members. These kits include personal hygiene items, lip balm, tissues and playing cards – and Club leaders are delivering them to members’ homes while the physical locations remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This donation is part of 750 kits that are being delivered to several Clubs across the country and follows U.S. Cellular’s $10,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs COVID-19 Relief Fund that directly supported youth in Peoria.

“Even with the Club locations closed, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Peoria is supporting their community by distributing food, bottled water and other necessary supplies to their members,” said Carrie Guilliams, store manager for U.S. Cellular in Peoria. “As they continue to do whatever it takes to care for our youth, we want to do our part to help ensure that they have the resources they need.”
