J.D. Power 2020 Wireless Network Quality Performance Study – Volume 2 ranks U.S. Cellular® #1 in the North Central Region
U.S. Cellular® (NYSE: USM) is ranked #1 in the North Central Region in the J.D. Power 2020 Wireless Network Quality Performance Study – Volume 2, making this the 7th time since 2016 U.S. Cellular has received an award. The North Central Region includes U.S. Cellular’s high-speed network in Wisconsin and Illinois, and it is the only region that the company is eligible to receive this J.D. Power award.
“This recognition means a lot to us as it is direct feedback from consumers, and it reinforces that our ongoing investment to modernize our network and deploy 5G to more urban and rural areas is enhancing the overall experience for our customers,” said Mike Irizarry, executive vice president and chief technology officer at U.S. Cellular. “We have all learned these past few months how important it is to have reliable internet access, so we are particularly proud that this award recognizes the strength of our data network. We have our customers’ backs, and our network teams are dedicated to providing customers a strong and reliable network that works when and where they need it.”
The J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Wireless Network Quality Performance Study—Volume 2 is based on responses from 32,497 wireless customers. In addition to evaluating the network quality experienced by customers with wireless phones, the study also measures the network performance of tablets and mobile broadband devices. The study was fielded from January through June 2020.
