Animal Advocates Sleep in Kennels with Rescue Dogs to Raise Funds

Animal advocates hope to raise awareness about the day in a life of rescue animals and hope to raise funds while promoting ADOPTION!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a rescue dog and sleep in a kennel for weeks, months? We know for most it isn’t a life we want to live and it is hard watching pups sleep alone in their kennels every night as they wait for their fur-ever home.

To raise awareness to the community and give an experience to many, Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue, Plainfield IL is hosting their very first DOG SLUMBER PARTY! 10 volunteers will raise funds for the dogs in the rescue and have a spot to sleep at night on October 27th with a rescue dog in their very own kennel. We hope to give these people an experience they won’t forget filled with lots of love, cuddles and slobber while recognizing the life a dog in a rescue lives waiting to be adopted.

For these dogs we are their only hope at a loving forever home, we hope to not only raise much needed funding but also awareness about why adopting from your local shelters/rescues is very important as well as being responsible pet owners.

Please consider making a pledge/donation towards one of the lucky ones who will spend their Saturday night with a dog in their kennel by sending a donation to Wags 2 Wishes marked “Slumber Funder” via their DONATE link on their website.

We encourage folks to stop by Saturday October 27th 7pm - 9 pm with snacks, drinks and dog food while our overnighters get ready to slumber!
Corporate Sponsors welcome and will be featured on our Facebook LIVE feed the night of the event!
