Applications For District 202 Preschool Lottery Open Monday

PLAINFIELD, IL — Parents in the Plainfield School District can apply for this year's lottery to attend the district's preschool programs starting Monday, Jan. 28. Applications will be accepted until Feb. 8.
The district is using an online application similar to last year. Officials say tuition-based preschool programs will be located at the Bonnie McBeth Learning Center, Freedom Elementary, Liberty Elementary and Ridge Elementary for the 2019 to 2020 school year.
Parents can apply for two-, three- and five-day programs at Bonnie McBeth and Ridge Elementary or a five-day program at Liberty Elementary.

Enrollment for the general education preschool program at Bonnie McBeth is open to children between ages 3 and 5. Students must be 3 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2019, to enroll.
Officials say the lottery drawing will be held Feb. 15 and that parents will be notified the same day if their child has been accepted or placed on a waiting list. Students who are accepted will be required to register in March and pay a $100 deposit by April 5 to keep their spots. Anyone on the wait list will be notified of openings by April 8.
