'Brief Tornadoes' Possible, Torrential Rain, Flash Flooding In IL
Torrential downpours prompted flash flood warnings across the Chicago area.

ILLINOIS — A rainy weekend and more torrential rain Sunday prompted a flash flood warning for southern Lake County, Will County, Kankakee County, DuPage County and Cook County, effective until 10:15 p.m. A flash flood warning is also in effect for Kendall and eastern McHenry counties until 10:30 p.m.
There is also a flood risk around the Lake Michigan lake shore, with waves of 6 to 9 feet.
The National Weather Service is also warning residents of "possible brief tornadoes," mainly along and south of I-80 and east of I-57. Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall could result in low visibility in torrential downpours Sunday evening.

Two to three inches of rain have fallen in the past two hours in the warning area, NWS said. Additional rainfall of one to two inches were possible over the next hour, which could exacerbate flooding.

Water Rescue In Orland Park: Report
5 Rescued From DuPage River In Naperville After Heavy Rains
Flooded, swollen rivers have led to multiple water rescues over the weekend in the Chicago area. In DuPage County on Friday night, a woman and her two dogs were swept into the river as they crossed a flooded pedestrian bridge. One dog was rescued from the water, but the search for the woman and the other dog was suspended until weather levels subside.
There's a chance of more showers on Monday, along with patchy fog.
