Bradley University's Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts outstanding students received awards in the spring 2021 semester. Local students include:

Local student at Upper Iowa University makes spring 2021 dean's list

Alyssa Fink, a biology major from Plainfield, IL, has been named to Upper Iowa University's 2021 spring dean's list. To be honored, a student must have earned a minimum 3.50 grade point average for the semester and be enrolled as a full-time student.

Ryan Griffin named to the president's list for spring 2021 at the University of Iowa

Ryan Griffin of Plainfield, IL was among the more than 1,000 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the president's list for the 2021 spring semester. Griffin is a second-year undergraduate student in the UI's College of Engineering and is majoring in Electrical Engineering.

President's list status was earned by only 55 first-year undergraduates during the 2021 spring semester at Iowa; only 189 second-year students; only 266 third-year students; and only 508 fourth-year students. The president's list was established in the fall of 1983 to recognize academic excellence.

Emma Schoeling Earns Degree from the University of Vermont

Emma Schoeling of Plainfield, IL, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience during commencement ceremonies in May, 2021.

Determined to maintain the spirit of joy and optimism that is the hallmark of UVM's commencement ceremony, but doing so in a safe manner, University of Vermont President Suresh Garimella conferred degrees on graduates at multiple, smaller school and college ceremonies. "Our emphasis will be on celebrating our students. We are very proud of each and every one of them and salute their accomplishment," Garimella said prior to the ceremonies, which marked the end of a highly successful year of in-person education on the UVM campus. An estimated 3,347 graduates, including 2,685 bachelors, 435 masters, 117 doctoral and 110 medical, earned degrees during the university's 220th commencement.

Bradley University announced its spring 2021 dean's list honorees

More than 1800 students were named to Bradley's Dean's List for Spring 2021. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester on a 4.0 scale. Plainfield students include:
