The eatery will open after it has deeply cleaned and sanitized the space, tested all other staff members and gone over health guidelines.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Craft'd in Plainfield has temporarily shuttered after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. According to a social media post on Friday, the owners are taking the necessary precautions to "ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers."
The eatery will resume daily operations after it has deeply cleaned and sanitized the space, tested all other staff members and gone over health guidelines provided by the state officials.
"We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience, we just hope everyone stays safe and healthy. We will keep you updated on when we open back for business, and we hope to see you soon," the Facebook post said.

While some restaurants such as Craft'd and Sovereign have reported positive cases and shut down, others have not taken the same measures. According to an employee of a Plainfield restaurant who wishes to remain anonymous, workers where she works "are not wearing masks/gloves in the kitchen, wiping down condiments, menus, etc."
"I took it upon myself, not directed by management to get tested and quarantine. Other employees tested but did not quarantine. I have not gone back to work," she said.

She even informed the Will County Health Department regrading this.
"For the sake of public safety - whenever you choose to dine out - wipe everything down yourself and wear your mask," she said.
Will County could soon see restrictions on public gatherings once again as Will County is now at a warning level — also knows as the orange level — for the coronavirus, with COVID-19 numbers heading in the wrong direction.
According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, a county enters a warning level when two or more coronavirus risk indicators increase. As of Friday, Will County is at a warning level for the number of deaths as well as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.
The IDPH website reports 92 cases per 100,000 residents, after a rate of 71 cases per 100,000 residents the previous week. The target for this is less than 50. The number of deaths is currently 7, which has been reported for 7 days, increasing by more than 20 percent for 2 consecutive weeks.
