District 202 Classes Cancelled For Monday, Jan. 28

All district activities are canceled, but will be rescheduled as soon as possible, officials said.

PLAINFIELD, IL —All District 202 schools and facilities are closed due to snow, officials in Plainfield announced Monday morning. All activities, including the YMCA Youth Basketball League, are canceled, but all 12-month employees and principals must still report to work as possible.

Officials said transportation will not be provided to students attending schools outside of District 202. Canceled events will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

The YMCA will still run its Day Out of School Program at its Wallin Drive location, but officials said to call the YMCA at 815-267-8600 to confirm.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Monday night. The National Weather Service says to expect heavy, blowing snow, with limited visibility and accumulations of 3 to 7 inches.
