The garage was a complete loss in the Wednesday evening fire.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A mother, father, son and granddaughter were unharmed Wednesday night after a garage fire in the 2400 block of Poplar Street. Fire Chief Jon Stratton said investigators believe the fire started accidentally around 6 p.m.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene found heavy fire in the detached garage.
Stratton said firefighters got the blaze under control within 15 minutes, although there were no fire hydrants in the area, forcing them to shuttle water to the scene.
