The Burr Ridge mansion that Eddy Curry lost in foreclosure was purchased by a south suburban dental surgeon.
Louis Korompilas, who has dental offices in Orland Park, Plainfield and Joliet, paid $3.1 million for the 18-room mansion, which Curry bought in 2006 for twice that figure when he played for the New York Knicks.

Korompilas closed on the house in late February, reports ChicagoBusiness.com. The home features nine bedroom suites, nine fireplaces, and an attached townhouse.
In 2007, armed-and-masked robbers broke into the home while Curry was there with friends and took cash and jewelry. They bound the 285-pound NBA player to a chair with duct tape.
