PLAINFIELD, IL —Beginning Monday, May 10, Lockport Street will be closed to traffic between Route 126 (Main Street) and Route 59 (Division Street). The roadway will be closed to accommodate concrete, asphalt and brick reconstruction work within the roadway as part of the Village’s Streetscape Refresh project. It is anticipated that the closure will last through Friday, May 21.
The posted Lockport Street detour route will direct traffic to use Route 126 (Main Street) and Route 59 (Division Street). Traffic will be able to use the local side streets to arrive at businesses for deliveries and parking on side streets will be allowed during the closure. North-South traffic on intersecting side streets will be maintained as construction allows.
All businesses will be open and parking will be available on the side streets and in the public parking lots on Illinois and Des Plaines Streets.
