Man Damaged Car, Resisted Arrested: Plainfield Police

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance and left after finding no criminal activity. An hour later, another disturbance call came in.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Around 9:11 p.m. June 12, Plainfield police officers responded to a domestic disturbance call between a man and woman on the 12400 block of South Falcon Drive. Officers left after determining no criminal activity occurred. But an hour later, around 10:04 p.m., officers returned to the home, and police said a 37-year-old man had damaged the female's car.

Michael F. Isit was arrested on charges of criminal damage to property, resisting arrest and aggravated battery, police said.

Officers believe Isit was under the influence of alcohol, and he resisted as officers tried to handcuff him, officials said. One of the officers was suffered an injury to his wrist during the struggle and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Isit was taken into custody at the Will County Adult Detention Facility after midnight June 13, according to Plainfield police. His bond was set for $5,000 and was released later that day.
