Mobile Food Pantry To Be Open For An Hour June 8

The mobile food pantry will be open to anyone from 5-6 p.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Parish on South Route 59.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A mobile food pantry is making its way to St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 S. Route 59, from 5-6 p.m Tuesday, June 8.

The service, which delivers healthy food, including meat, produce and non-perishable items, is open to anyone in need. No identification or information will be required.

Operating similar to a drive-thru, volunteers will put boxes of food directly into the backseat or trunk of one's car. Sponsors of the program, put on by the Northern Illinois Food Bank and Catholic Charities, ask that for people to wear their masks when interacting with volunteers.
