Shots Fired In Lakewood Falls Neighborhood Wednesday

Residents told officers they heard five shots and saw one or two subjects running down the street after.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Multiple shots were fired in the Lakewood Falls neighborhood on Wednesday, Will County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer told Patch.

Deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of Hillsdale Court after several residents called regarding shots fired around 6:20 a.m. Dec. 23. Homeowners who were interviewed said that they heard approximately five shots fired and saw one or two subjects running down the street after they heard the gunshots.

"Some minor descriptions of the subjects were given to deputies along with video surveillance," Hoffmeyer said. "A Cadillac was discovered in a driveway of a residence with three bullet holes in it and a second vehicle in the same driveway had a flat tire with puncture marks."
