New Assistant Principle Hired For Ridge Elementary School

Prior to being becoming principal at Ridge Elementary, Kimberly Napolski taught English at Plainfield East High School.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Ridge Elementary School just got a new assistant principal for the upcoming school year. The Board of Education approved Kimberly Napolski for the role at its June 28 regular meeting.

Napolski, who was an English teacher at Plainfield East High School, started her career teaching the subject in 1999 at Nequa Valley High School in Naperville. After taking time off in 2001 to raise her family, she resumed teaching in 2017, when she started at Plainfield East.

She also served as an administrative intern at the high school from January to December 2020.

Assistant principles were shuffled around as the district's newest elementary school, Wallin Oaks, is opening in August. As assistant principal, Napolski is replacing Karl Lustrup, who's now the new assistant principal at Creekside Elementary School.

Stacey DiBitetto, formally the principal at Ridge Elementary, was named the first principal at Wallin Oaks. Her former role at Ridge is being taken over by Kyle Harej, who was replaced by Lustrup at Ridge.
