Rose Gernenz

Rose Gernenz, age 83, of Joliet, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.

Born June 23, 1937 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Smeets. She married Earl H. Gernenz and he preceded her in death in 1991. Her son, Kenneth Gernenz also preceeded her in death.

Surviving are her daughters, Kristine Kopek and Kathleen Roberts; three grandchildren, Angela Gennett, Stephen Gernenz and Hannah Kopek; great-granddaughter, Madyson Gennett.

Rose will be forever missed and loved by her family.

Visitation for Rose Gernenz will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 4:00–8:00 pm, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet. Burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park will be private.
