Plainfield Fest Scheduled For July 19-21 In Historic Downtown

The festival is currently looking for food and craft vendors. Find out how to apply here.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield Fest is back in the village's historic downtown district this summer, scheduled for July 19 to 21. The event, sponsored the Plainfield Riverfront Foundation, typically features carnival rides, food and craft vendors and draws as many as 15,000 people to downtown Plainfield. Proceeds will go toward revitalizing the DuPage riverfront.

Despite rumors of being moved to the riverfront, Plainfield Fest Chairman Robert Epley said there are currently no plans to change the festival's location.

"Our downtown and Plainfield Central High School are perfect accommodations and back-drops for our annual festival," he told Patch in an email.
