Gunshot Victim From Plainfield Identified By Coroner

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Will County Coroner's Office has identified the man found dead of a gunshot wound at Theodore Marsh preserve last week as 19-year-old Mason Sauseda, of Plainfield.

Sauseda was found Friday morning by two people walking on the path west of Gaylord Road and north of Theodore Street in Crest Hill.

The coroner's office said Sauseda had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The final manner and cause of his death have not yet been determined and are pending final review of police and toxicological reports.
