Plainfield Mayor, Trustees Pull Petitions to Run Again for Office

The 2017 consolidated election will be held April 4.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Current Village President Michael Collins and current Plainfield Trustees Jim Racich, Garrett Peck and Margie Bonuchi have pulled petitions to run again for their current positions in the April 2017 election.

The village president seat and three trustee positions are currently up for grabs.

In addition to the current president and trustees, Greg Bott and Brian Krzystofiak also pulled petitions for village president, according to My Suburban Life. Cally Larson Irvine, Eric R. Thompson, Thomas J. Scholz, David L. Mondo, Larry Newton and Dan Riley pulled petitions for trustee.

In an August 2015 Chicago Tribune article, Peck said he was not planning on running again for a third term, citing a pursuit of double Master’s degrees as the reason.

In a controversial move, Peck was named Plainfield Park District director in May 2013. Less than a year later he resigned.

The first day to file the petitions is Dec. 12. The last day is Dec. 19. The 2017 consolidated election will be held April 4, 2017.
