Plainfield Park District Hosting Veterans Ceremony

PLAINFIELD, IL—In honor of their service to the nation, veterans will be recognized during a special ceremony on May 23. The Plainfield Park District event, which will take place at 11 a.m. at the Plainfield Township Community Center, is meant for veterans of any military branch, along with their family and guests.

During the event, each veteran will be provided a pin and certificate.

Those interested in attending the event are advised to RSVP. Contact Kathy Whalen, Plainfield Park District recreation manager for seniors and active adults, by May 10 by calling 815-436-2029 or email whalen@plfdparks.org. Organizers are asked to include the name of veteran attending and number of guests.

Chaplain Ronald Keith Walker Sr. will be the master of ceremonies. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
