Plainfield Resident Connects Magically with the Treasure Chest Foundation

Plainfield resident Ryan Sedler, an employee of LSP University Park is magically connecting to teens fighting cancer by donating over $3,000 worth of Apple AirPods and Beats by Dre.
Ryan said, “Through our company, LSP University Park employees are allotted a certain amount of money to access to donate to various charities. I heard about the Treasure Chest Foundation from my friend Taylor Kimbrough, Tinlee’s mom. After hearing everything Tinlee went through during her cancer treatments and how much she enjoyed the treasure chest gifts, I wanted to donate to this Foundation. I chose Air pods and Beats by Dre because music brings happiness during difficult times and I am glad to have the opportunity to help out where I can.”
LS Power is a development, investment and operating company focused on the North American power and energy infrastructure sector.

“We are so blessed to have the support of Ryan Sedler, who generously chose to help the Treasure Chest Foundation. Having cancer as a teenager means coping with a disease for several years. Ryan’s gift will bring joy to teens fighting cancer,” said a thankful Colleen Kisel, Founder and CEO of the Treasure Chest Foundation.
The POTCF is a unique organization whose services impact more than 14,600 young cancer patients in 62 cancer treatment centers in 20 states across the nation and in the District of Columbia. Nowhere else in the nation does such a program exist. Colleen Kisel founded the organization in 1996 after her then seven-year-old son Martin had been diagnosed with leukemia in 1993. Ms. Kisel discovered that giving her son a toy after each procedure provided a calming distraction from his pain, noting that when children are diagnosed with cancer their world soon becomes filled with doctors, nurses, chemotherapy drugs, surgeries and seemingly endless painful procedures. Martin celebrated his 28th anniversary of remission from the disease in March of this year.
