Sovereign Shuts Down As Employees Test Positive For Coronavirus
The eatery will remain temporarily closed through Tuesday while the owners sanitize the space.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Sovereign in Plainfield closed early Sunday and will remain temporarily shuttered after employees tested positive for the coronavirus. In a social media post, restaurant owners said that they are taking the time to "deep clean and sanitize the restaurant after we’ve had employees test positive for covid."
The post also mentioned that the staff members who received positive results have not worked at the restaurant since Aug 9.
"We are closing as an extra precaution now that we have their results," the Facebook post said.

This is the second time since the COVID-19 outbreak began that the eatery has had to temporarily suspend operations. Another employee had tested positive last month.
Sovereign will reopen 5 p.m. Wednesday.
