Stormy Weather Possible During Plainfield Fest

If you're planning to attend, keep an eye on the forecast.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Friday marks the start of the 37th annual Plainfield Fest in downtown Plainfield, full of live music, carnival rides, food, a meet & greet with two Chicago Bears legends, the Midwest Bags Tournament and the return of the fest's best pizza contest. But wet weather could dampen the fun, according to the forecast.

Thursday evening as road closures begin in preparation for the three-day fest, scattered storms, lightning and heavy rain are likely. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
