On May 3, the Illinois Food Scrap Coalition took to Twitter to make note of a rap video featuring Plainfield East High School students. In it, students seek to promote food scrap composting. As of Thursday, May 9, the video has generated 329 views.

At a recent track and field event, a Plainfield North student beat not only the elements, but also a field of competitors in a 110-meter hurdles race. On May 4, Lockport Township High School Boys Track and Field/Cross Country posted to Twitter the results from the 40th annual Bill Jackson Invitational.

On May 1, MileSplit Illinois shared a Tweet with a photo of Trinity Allen of Plainfield South after winning the varsity 300-meter hurdles with a 47.19. In it, MileSplit aimed to shine a spotlight on Allen for her accomplishment. Allen competes in the Southwest Preparatory Conference.
