We have water wells here!
What happens if these semi trucks get into an accident at - or near the light at Naperville road and 143rd and they spill hazardous waste materials that drains out into our water tables and water wells causing our drinking water to become toxic? What then?
I recommend you not trying to buy up ANY land until you’re sure that this truck highway which is so close to our homes where we live and at times where we work all day is THE BEST solution to the problem. There are other places that are not so invasive- destructive-expensive- and dangerously close to children playing in their yards, dangerous also to our waters- wetland- fish, birds and wildlife as well as highly air and noise polluting.

On June 17, 2014 in the town of Sidney, Ohio, a chemical leaking from a tanker truck closed down Interstate 75 for a period of time and saw 5,000 people temporarily evacuated from their homes. The chemical was anhydrous ammonia, which is used as a fertilizer and is transported and stored in gas form. Although nobody was hurt in this incident, there may be soil contamination as safety crews trying to lessen the effect of the “off gassing” doused it with water.
