Will County Forest Preserve District Offering Half-Year Dog Park Permits

The half-year permits will be on sale through Oct. 31. Permits for 2016 go on sale Nov. 1.

Discounted half-year permits are available for Forest Preserve District of Will County dog parks. The passes can be purchased at any of four visitor centers: Sugar Creek Administration Center in Joliet, Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville, Monee Reservoir Visitor Center in Monee, or Plum Creek Nature Center in Beecher. The half-year permits will be on sale through Oct. 31. Permits for 2016 go on sale Nov. 1.

Half-year permits range in price from $25 for one dog to $45 for three dogs for county residents; non-residents pay $50 to $90. Discounts are available for senior citizens. The Forest Preserve District has five dog parks: Forked Creek in Wilmington, Hammel Woods in Shorewood, Messenger Marsh in Homer Glen, Rock Run in Joliet and Whalon Lake in Naperville.
