Police said a parent struck a coach, and spectators ran for cover after a coach pulled out a gun.

ROCKFORD, IL — The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public's help with an investigation stemming from a fight after a Saturday pee-wee football game at Rockford Lutheran High School, 3411 N. Alpine Road. Police said two people were arrested and are facing several charges after officers responded to a brawl where at least one suspect was armed, sending crowds of people running.

According to police, officers learned the fight between parents and the coaches of the Calumet City Thunderbolts and Rockford Renegades resulted in a parent hitting a coach before Calumet Coach Terrance Morris, 43, from Indiana, pulled out a gun.

Although police said no shots were fired, Morris and another coach, 39-year-old Devorah Clark, also from Indiana, were arrested. Officers recovered a firearm during the investigation.
