Police said they were called to Don Carter Lanes Saturday evening for a report of an active shooter and found six people with gunshot wounds.

Thomas Furseth, 65, of Machesney Park, Jerome Woodfork, 69, of Rockford, and Dennis Steinhoff, 73, of Rockford, were all pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old boy, 16-year-old girl and 62-year-old man were also injured. The girl was treated at an area hospital and released, while the boy and man remain in critical condition.

Police said Webb had no ties to any of the people he is accused of shooting, calling it a "completely random act." His attorney told a judge that he may have PTSD after serving four tours in Afghanistan.

Though police said Webb initially tried to conceal his identity and hide a pair of Glock handguns after the shooting, he was ultimately taken into custody without incident and admitted to the shooting, authorities said.
