Local Official Joins TFIC to Advocate for Infrastructure

Jason Anderson of Rochelle joins the Transportation for Illinois Coalition to push for a new capital bill.

SPRINGFIELD -- Ten years ago, Illinois policymakers stepped up to support fixing our roads, bridges, transit and more through a capital construction plan. A local official is doing his part to make that happen again this year.

The Transportation for Illinois Coalition had its Lobby Day at the Capitol in early April, inviting members from around the state to talk with legislators about the need for investing in much-needed improvements in our transportation systems.

Rochelle economic development director Jason Anderson joined TFIC for the visit, and he reports they had a successful day making the case for how our crumbling infrastructure must be addressed without delay.
