Beyer Elementary School in District 205 held their first McTeacher's Night on Tuesday, May 8th at the McDonald's on Kishwaukee St.
What a perfect night for a Fundraising event. The Teacher's and staff were happy to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families and raise some money for Beyer Elementary School.
Sixteen teachers and staff worked at the McTeacher's night, jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, working fries, selling pies, and making refreshing ice cream treats. Teacher Angie Turner and Heather Dowling both dressed in the pie costume and they were assisted by pie sellers Julie DePuy-Hartline and Rockford Police officers Watson, Keen, and Williams.
A Special thank you goes to Katie Meersman 2nd grade teacher, who organized the event as well as everyone who volunteered and worked so hard to make this event a successful one for Beyer Elementary. The School plans to put the money raised into their fund to help pay for Field Trips
The McTeacher's Night was hosted by the Bear Family Restaurants and Owner/Operator, David Bear. Like us on Facebook www.facebook.com/BearFamilyMcDonalds/
