Next Rockford City Market Welcomes 'A League Of Their Own' Stars
Rockford City Market runs 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., June 1 at the downtown intersection of Water Street and Market Street.
ROCKFORD, IL — Get ready for the next Rockford City Market on Friday, June 1 at the intersection of Water and Market streets. This next Rockford City Market runs from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and also happens to be Rockford Peaches Day, featuring Stars from the movie A League of Their Own and original Peaches players on the main stage. Market organizers say Rockford Peaches Day is part of the Rockford Peaches 75th Anniversary, a four-day State Bicentennial event that runs May 30 through June 3.
Other Rockford City Market events:
- Fred and Ginger will perform on the main stage from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
- Cole Brandt will perform on the acoustic stage from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
- Three Ravens, a new pottery studio/gallery and classroom on North Main Street downtown, will be selling ciramics and paintings.
- Severson Dells Nature Center activities
- Mercyhealth's Plastic Surgery, Skin and Laser Center, Dermatology and Podiatry staff
- Interactive baseball
- Local growers and vendors selling food and other items
