RPS: Submit Nominations For The 2021 Fine Arts Hall Of Fame

Rockford Public Schools will accept nominations for the Fine Arts Hall of Fame through Oct. 31, 2020. Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized at the annual RPS 205 Fine Arts Hall of Fame induction in 2021 and be part of the fifth Hall of Fame class.

Nominees must be either a former RPS 205 student(s) who went on to achieve tremendous success in his/her arts field, or an educator or advocate who has made a valuable impact on the arts. The committee will also consider productions or ensembles that performed or demonstrated their skills as a group.

This year's award winners will be announced and notified in November 2020, with event information available in January 2021. The 2021 Fine Arts Hall of Fame will be conducted as a combination in-person and virtual celebration to accommodate for the changes due to COVID-19. Inductee attendance is not a requirement for the 2021 Inductees. Direct questions to jessica.doering@rps205.com.

The Rockford Public Schools Fine Arts Hall of Fame celebrates as many as five individuals or groups each year. The awards ceremony began in 2016 as a way to celebrate the past and current successes of the fine arts in Rockford Public Schools. Nominations are accepted from the community, and a panel of voters makes the final selections based on submitted information.
