Estate Of Late Romeoville Strip Club Owner For Sale At $1.8M

The 3.5-acre estate was owned by Wally Vinckus, the owner of the now-demolished Crazy Rock Gentlemen's Club in Romeoville.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The massive estate owned by the proprietor of the since-demolished Crazy Rock strip club in Romeoville is now on the market. It is seeking $1.8 million — with its value mostly coming from the land, according to the listing.

The home at 800 N. Independence Blvd. and estate has been called a "Romeoville landmark" due to its proximity to Illinois Route 53. Its former owner, Wally Vinckus, has also been described as a larger-than-life figure, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Vinckus owned Crazy Rock Gentlemen's Club, a longtime fixture of the Route 53 business corridor. Romeoville's lone strip club, Crazy Rock eventually closed and it's building was bought by the village in 2012 for $1.35 million. It was demolished later that year.

Vinckus died in 2008, leaving behind the strip club, other business ventures and his homes. At the time of his death, Vinckus' estate was thought to be worth $9 million, and there was a protracted legal battle between heirs, according to the Tribune. One of those heirs, daughter Tammy Vinckus, died in 2017.

Now, the home previously known as the "Vinckus Estate" is on the market, seeking $1.8 million. It hit the market for a spell in 2015 and 2016, with a listing price of $800,000, according to its current listing.
