Ford City Mall Employee Shot, Shooter Still At Large: CPD
A store employee was shot and seriously injured Friday at Ford City Mall. The shooter is still at large, Chicago police said.
CHICAGO — A store employee was seriously injured when he was shot at Ford City Mall around 1 p.m. Friday, Chicago police said.
The 22-year-old man was at work when another man entered the business and started harassing the employee. The shooter then pulled out a handgun and shot the employee several times, was shot two times in each arm and twice in the lower back, police said.
The employee was transported to Holy Cross Hospital, then transferred to Mt. Sinai in serious condition. The gunman fled on foot. No one in custody. Chicago police detectives are investigating.

Police initially reported that two men shot each other inside Ford City Mall.
