40-Year-Old Man Shot In Parked Vehicle Near Ford City: Police

Chicago police said the man heard shots and felt pain.

CHICAGO — A 40-year-old man was shot Thursday afternoon near Ford City on Chicago’s South Side.

Around 3 p.m., the man was sitting inside a parked vehicle in a parking in the 7600 block of South Cicero Avenue. The man heard shots and felt pain from a gunshot wound to the next, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

According to a statement from Chicago police, the man was initially reported to be in fair condition. No one is in custody and Area South detectives are investigating.
