Chicago Department of Aviation Hosts Job Fair, Wednesday
The CDA is hosting a job fair for positions at O'Hare and Midway, as well as a union workshop June 13 at Kennedy-King College.

CHICAGO, IL -- The Chicago Department of Aviation will host a citywide job fair for Chicago residents, featuring 30 companies that operate at O’Hare and Midway International Airports. Hundreds of full and part-time positions are available with airlines, airport concessions, construction companies, freight handlers and many other service providers at Chicago’s airports.The airport job fair happens Wednesday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kennedy-King College in Chicago.
CDA will provide on-site support to assist residents in applying for jobs, including IT assistance for online applications and an interview area for employers to speak with applicants. In partnership with the Construction Industry Service Corporation, the union will host a workshop with information on how to obtain an apprenticeship. On-site interviews will also be conducted.
This event is the third of six regional career fairs that the CDA will host in 2018 to ensure that hiring opportunities are afforded to residents from all corners of the city as both O'Hare and Midway continue to be modernized. Halfway into 2018, the CDA and its partners have already hosted 14 fairs at community centers located citywide. Overall, these fairs have welcomed 60 different hiring companies and engaged nearly 1,300 job seekers from the community.

The job fair will be held in Building U on the Kennedy-King College campus at 740 W. 63rd St., Chicago. Introduction and welcome remarks will take place at 9:30 a.m., followed by the union workshop from 9:30 to 11 a.m. For a full list of 2018 community career fairs, which is updated frequently, residents are encouraged to visit the CDA website.
