The Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center has numerous openings in administration, law, food service, security and support staff.

CHICAGO, IL -- The Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center, under the office of the chief judge, is currently accepting applications for various direct and non-direct care positions. To apply for positions, applicants must meet all the minimum requirements as determined by federal, state, local and agency guidelines.

Several opportunities are available at the following starting salaries, including:

  • Youth development specialist - $51,465
  • Security Specialist I - $41,993
  • Attorney - Competitive
  • Cook II - $45,019
  • HR Clerk - $36,601
  • Management Analyst IV - $60,469
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance Analyst - $65,490
  • Rapid Response Team Specialist - $55,251
  • Enterprise Architect - Competitive
  • Assistant Superintendent - Competitive
  • Administrative Assistant II - $45,086

The work week is 40 hours. Please note that some positions require employees to work shifts that may include nights, overnights, weekends and holidays. Some positions may be mandated to work overtime based on departmental needs. The juvenile detention center is located at 1100 S. Hamilton Ave, Chicago
